The beer beef project was led by Davíð Clausen from the Agricultural University, with the goal of producing tastier Icelandic beef.

The bulls drink around 2 liters of beer a day, and over the past two years their average slaughter weight has increased by 40 kilos.
They also score significantly higher for fat quality than before.

Grillmarkaðurinn is the only restaurant where this beer-fed beef from Hvammur is available.
